Seus sintomas s\u00e3o gengivas avermelhadas, inchadas e sens\u00edveis, com tend\u00eancia ao sangramento durante a escova\u00e7\u00e3o. A sa\u00fade da gengiva tamb\u00e9m pode afetar a sua sa\u00fade geral. Estudos recentes mostram uma poss\u00edvel conex\u00e3o entre a periodontite (uma doen\u00e7a da gengiva) e outras doen\u00e7as, como a diabete, problemas card\u00edacos e uma poss\u00edvel liga\u00e7\u00e3o com nascimentos prematuros.<\/p>\n<p>Para prevenir qualquer doen\u00e7a gengival, escove os dentes pelo menos tr\u00eas vezes ao dia, use fio dental diariamente e fa\u00e7a uma limpeza geral com o dentista a cada seis meses.
