Superar o tabagismo n\u00e3o \u00e9 f\u00e1cil, mas \u00e9 uma atitude que vale a pena por uma s\u00e9rie de motivos, principalmente pela sa\u00fade do fumante e das pessoas de seu conv\u00edvio.<\/p>\n<p>\u00c9 preciso compreender que o tabagismo \u00e9 uma doen\u00e7a caracterizada pela depend\u00eancia \u00e0 nicotina. A fuma\u00e7a do cigarro tem mais de 7 mil subst\u00e2ncias t\u00f3xicas e pelo menos 70 delas s\u00e3o comprovadamente cancer\u00edgenas, impactando diretamente \u00f3rg\u00e3os vitais do corpo humano. Esse tipo de depend\u00eancia atinge milh\u00f5es de pessoas em todo o mundo, que acabam tendo o cigarro como parte dominante do seu dia a dia.<\/p>\n<p>Ao ser inalada, a fuma\u00e7a do cigarro e outros derivados de tabaco como charuto, cachimbo e narguil\u00e9, causa efeitos devastadores e irrevers\u00edveis para o fumante, assim como para quem convive com ele ao longo do tempo. A Organiza\u00e7\u00e3o Mundial da Sa\u00fade (OMS) estima que essa depend\u00eancia causa mais de 8 milh\u00f5es de mortes por ano em todo o mundo. Desse n\u00famero, 7 milh\u00f5es s\u00e3o os fumantes ativos, enquanto cerca de 1,2 milh\u00e3o s\u00e3o as pessoas expostas \u00e0 fuma\u00e7a do cigarro, os fumantes passivos.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Riscos do cigarro para a sa\u00fade<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Apesar da sensa\u00e7\u00e3o moment\u00e2nea de prazer e bem-estar, o cigarro traz in\u00fameros preju\u00edzos \u00e0 sa\u00fade a longo prazo. O h\u00e1bito de fumar est\u00e1 ligado a aproximadamente 90% dos casos de c\u00e2ncer de pulm\u00e3o, al\u00e9m de ser respons\u00e1vel pelo desenvolvimento de v\u00e1rias outras doen\u00e7as, como problemas cardiovasculares, enfisema pulmonar, bronquite cr\u00f4nica, c\u00e2ncer de boca, laringe, es\u00f4fago, p\u00e2ncreas, bexiga, entre outros.<\/p>\n<p>Uma das principais complica\u00e7\u00f5es causadas pelo tabagismo \u00e9 a doen\u00e7a pulmonar obstrutiva cr\u00f4nica (DPOC), caracterizada pela presen\u00e7a de enfisema pulmonar e bronquite cr\u00f4nica. Os sintomas incluem insufici\u00eancia respirat\u00f3ria, tosse e chiado no peito. O quadro afeta consideravelmente a imunidade do organismo, elevando o risco de infec\u00e7\u00f5es, pneumonias, necessidade de intuba\u00e7\u00e3o, utiliza\u00e7\u00e3o de ventila\u00e7\u00e3o mec\u00e2nica e at\u00e9 interna\u00e7\u00e3o em uma Unidade de Terapia Intensiva (UTI).<\/p>\n<p>Al\u00e9m disso, mais de 50 outras doen\u00e7as est\u00e3o ligadas ao tabagismo. A nicotina eleva a press\u00e3o arterial, a frequ\u00eancia card\u00edaca, lesiona vasos sangu\u00edneos e provoca a forma\u00e7\u00e3o de co\u00e1gulos no sangue. A combina\u00e7\u00e3o desses efeitos pode gerar obstru\u00e7\u00f5es nas art\u00e9rias e efeitos cardiovasculares grav\u00edssimos, potencialmente fatais.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Benef\u00edcios ao parar de fumar<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Sempre \u00e9 tempo de deixar um v\u00edcio.
